"Pelagic Thoughts" . . . we sat, with our squalid hearts that sordidly drifted, and sifted apart. where hushed music left silence amiss like a heatbeat heard over a kiss. drapes drawn, all but smothered in darkness she breathed out a candle-light and her beauty took my hands like braille in the night. where the evening roamed, the day tread with care. I searched for her, eyes fixed and soul bare. and she too, through an interface of welling tears. that pooled in and laced her shadowy fears. the world we traversed, not just here nor there, in the blackest depth immersed and perched upon peaked stair. but a simmering reality that embellished clarity, was that we sailed at midnight with ill-gotten ships, too dimly lit at sea; and our paths would cross not, but in eternity. |

Whoa! Fantastic writing. Wordplay to the nth. The ending felt like a shattered mirror. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
