   The Lee Side
    of Sunset

Breathe the gentle
evening twilight
on the lee side
  of sunset.
Let the sound of
distant evening bells
wash over the weary
mind and soul.
Allow all ‘visions
  and schemes’
from the grasping
world of men,
slip far away
beyond the clouds,
and vanish in night’s
immense, elusive,
but palliative sorrow.
Then it becomes clear,
that only Nature’s
exquisite truth remains ...
to haunt even Time!

Yep. This is an old down-home good'un, Bruce. Calling for those desires and schemes and plans to take a rest and live the good life of just being human sounds eerily like something that could have resonated from Walden Pond. (That is a good thing.)
