My garden has a golden flower, It puts the rest to shame, It stands head and shoulders above, My flower has some fame. In my garden many stand out, With their soft, warm embrace, Smiling brightly into the wind, But only one has grace. I have a garden with diverse Beauties, yes, this is true, But my golden flower is supreme, This, then, is her debut. ©August 10, 2012 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Jerry, I can see you standing among your various beauties, but with eyes softly landing on one. And fingertips stroking the softest of petals. You have an amazing garden, and have brought it to life here. A lovely poem, Poet. [smiling...couldn't think of how to change my original comments, so here they are again.] |

Colors shine brightly but most important is that your words bring them all to life with the one and only being the best...Love it...*BIG HUGS* *may our dreams ever be magical* |

Appreciate your thoughts about my poem, Karen. Sometimes poems just are presented to you in such a way that you can't ignore it, thus was this one. Thanks again. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Sometimes that's all it takes is one to be noticed, to be heralded as the prize among all the rest. Nice write, Jerry. JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |
