the red lacquer dripping from this brush onto this canvas fills this heart with a shot of hope.
this two ounce glass I call my soul is overflowing because two ounces isn't enough.
I need more, I want more, and when the cavity living within me has reached it's prime, I'll stop searching.
I'll stop searching because I've found the diamond in the rough.

I've come to realize that I write too figurative [sometimes]. and yet, I don't know how to write literal, because I my brain doesn't process things in a literal way. I live a figurative life, and I show it through writing.
