Music of the Glen

As I take the ancient path
into the hidden meadow
I feel something different
Standing still gazing around
trying to find what excites
all seems as it’s always been

Young foxes chase to and fro
spotted fawns scamper about
majestic eagle soars high
Grass ripples in a soft breeze
setting sun casts golden hue
while wishing well draws me close

There is magic here not felt
in this dream world of deep time
and it flows sweet within me
Sound, it is something with sound
open soul to receive it
past normal sound I listen

There it is sweet and tender
the mountains have acoustics
making the reed sounds vibrate
Raising my arms to the sky
I spin with bare feet dancing
to the ‘music of the glen’

What a magical poem, Startime. You paint such a wonderful, peaceful scene with your words. Not at all where my Muse takes me. I like the difference.

You've painted a lovely picture here, the sounds of mother nature are music to my ears, and the sun that dapples through the trees is wonderfully vivid.
