Curtain Call The night’s curtain falls, like the closing of a play No encore here, no prompter tells the words to say As one by one the stage lights swiftly growing dim Each shadow feared like whispers from a tale so grim Like the words remembered, the story will unfold Never ending story, from softest lips once told Each actor wears a mask, false smile upon the face How many parts to play, with time each day they race Soon the spotlight moves away, somewhere else to shine Stood alone in darkness, your heart no longer mine To be or not, but then, no curtain call this night Should I without turning, just exit now, stage right My part I played with passion from the very heart Let me have the time again, let Act 1 now start. |

This was very well written. You explored your feeling and described the days end, and it all worked perfectly for moi. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I liked this very much! And the ending line really captures regrets... Great write! |
