We walk robotically along this forest trail,
Just walking, not talking.
Like we do every year, on this same day.
The silence is killing me.
I want to scream, "Why won't you speak to me?!"
But you wouldn't hear me anyway.
Because you're 10,000 miles away,
In a place I can't call home.
