Timelessness Giant peaks reaching into azure skies Giving dreamers a sense of timelessness Ancient paths are created by wildlife Drawing hikers to continue upward Cascading falls smooth a trail of their own Awing watchers as mist cools their faces Glacier fed lakes sparkle in sunlight Icy cold to those who dare take a dip Forest left behind at the timberline Baring ancient rock to the elements Above the clouds stone peaks look like islands While a carpet of clouds deceives the eye Timeless mountains draw the heart and the soul Where spirit can fly free to join with earth Dreamers feel wondrous timelessness deeply Connecting with other kindred spirits Karen Mc Neil June 17, 2012 *may our dreams ever be magical* |

Oooh! You give the reader so much to digest and think about when you write your nature-related poetry. This one is slightly different that what you normally give us, and I, for one, am grateful. The visions of towering peaks on the mountain and the cold on the faces of those who dare to hike it was stunning to me. You are so good with these kind of poems, Karen. I have to write something here. I think the world would be a much better place if there were more people like you. You have more respect and beauty in your heart than most existing human beings. Jerry I love to play with my visions...all have reality in them as seen through my eyes...I am glad you enjoyed this one...*BIG HUGS* Eric OK...you made me blush...my friends tell me even though I have lived a painfilled life I am still too naive and see things through rose tinted glasses...the thing is that I hope for the best from people and nature never deceives and is always timeless...thank you, so much for the compliment...*BIG HUGS* *may our dreams ever be magical* |
