Several years ago when I visited these blue pages I wrote what I called DreamWeavers...I do not know if they are poems or prose but this one came spilling out today...I hope you enjoy it... The Return of DreamWeaver He was exhausted coming through the door Everything that could go wrong that day did It is Friday and that gave him a smile He‘d restore his soul from a world gone mad She watched feeling his loneliness and pain Seeing his heart she knows this man is good Filled with sadness for earths lost innocence She will weave her magic on his behalf He walks from the shower feeling refreshed Turning on the TV he settles back In the blink of an eye he falls asleep He will now go on a DreamWeaver’s quest His senses alive with pine scented air Opening eyes he is gazing around Viewing forest and soaring peaks surround His soul feeds on sunlight filtering down Chattering squirrel attracts attention It scampers up and down a tree calling He is drawn to follow down sunlit trail Chattering it scampers from branch to branch Sunlight dapples the path leading the way Suddenly a pristine lake fills the view Where only jumping fish break the silence Sunlight sparkles off the deep blue water He sees her sitting quietly alone A pan held over fire cooking fish Smiling invitingly for him to come He willingly accepts what is offered Without a word they share succulent trout Its’ skin is crisp with flesh tender and sweet She takes his hand saying “I have waited” Without a thought his eyes close on a sigh Startled he sits up and opens his eyes Back in his small apartment he’s sitting Groaning aloud “it’s only been a dream” Startled chattering draws his eye outside A squirrel sits upon his balcony Is that a wink of the eye aimed at him Something inside fills with magical warmth A Dream from the Weaver always comes true Karen Mc Neil May 19, 2012 |

"I have waited." The words that has launched a story which I have a feeling is going to mesmerize the Blue Room. A man whose soul is weary from a world gone mad is in need of a cleansing and I think the Dreamweaver is just the one to handle the job. Nice going, Karen. I liked how it begins . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (05-19-2012 09:37 PM).] |
