A PASSING DREAM She lies there, not quite asleep, or even yet awake And silver moonbeams caress her shadow on the wall Will he come, this night, perchance her body he will take The darkest hour, a whispered breeze, a night owl softly calls The curtains move, and rippled moon on her face, lightly shines Is this the night, his lips on lips, and eyes to look at hers And how his fingers, touch her face, and trace her laughter lines And every thought, the feel of him, and how her body stirs A silent step, then a shadow, on the stairs below She holds her breath, for him to speak, please let him say hello But still the silence, surely this, was not a complex dream The crumpled sheets, love's passion flowed, just like a mountain stream Her beating heart returning now, to ticking like the clock But one day soon, upon her door, her lover he will knock |

To be ever desirous is to not be surprised, but thankful when the desire is finally fulfilled. Nice write, Michael, ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
