Up at midnight doing laundry after quite a long day of cleaning carpets and building barns, cooking all the chickens away. Took Uncle to the store at dawn, I'm sore down to the bone, barely holding my eyes open now, more work tomorrow is all that's known. Gave the dogs a bath and planted roses, walked 100 yards to check the mail, mopped the floor and cooked some more, started my tomatoes in a hanging pail. The garden needs tilling, holes need filling, grass needs mowing and I am willing so I'll do the very best I can at very least, I'll get a tan, or drop dead trying to please my man. |

at very least, I'll get a tan, or drop dead trying to please my man. But that's a fine way to go, don't you think? lol On a serious note, we all need to take time to relax and enjoy life. |

Good grief lady. Not sure you need to work so hard. Please take a break as no man is worth that much work. ooxx Marti

Hello Dixie, your poem made me dizzy, you make such of works, it makes me think how lucky I am but I admire and offer you a sincere support for what you endure... thanks for the vivid and awesome poem. yann |

Such a full day for Dixie and even after all that you STILL manage to write a great poem, well nothing changes there then does it? Thank you.... Goldenrose. Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu 6th century BC. |

I think I'll stick to teaching 4th graders. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
