If You Knew Peggy Sue I never knew Peggy Sue although I wanted to but I was much too shy to look into her eyes. She used to wear nice cotton dresses with buttons all the way down, and she filled them with the finest figure in our small town. Years after I left I went back home to visit friends that I once knew, and while there I inquired about the girl named Peggy Sue. Seems she'd run off to Hollywood chasing dreams that never came true. To me, that was deja vu, for I had done the same thing too. James Lee 30March 2010 |

I think every young man has known a Peggy or two in their life. Sometimes they walk back through. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

What drew me into this poem was the title of course. With a title like that I was expecting something. You did not disappoint me. |

Ah, Buddy Holly and Peggy Sue -- brings back memories. I think we all can look back on a Peggy Sue in our lives, and your poem adds a dimension that makes her all the more unforgettable. Thanks -- Art |
