something about the gravel spit shimmering
of the dallas afternoon in flip flop boots
there are lazy bugs jostle dancing leaves
oozing their gratification for invisibility

the toneless sins of badu in bad manners
making drinking for no reason, seem reasonable
when most men would rewind that journey
and put everything back on, faster forward

then go back to wondering about bamamoney
and what magic tree it all springs from
where no one will have pocket surgery again
only happy ever after with wands and roses

and cowboys won't wear hardhats to tea parties

Damn I LOVE the way you write...your muse is always the coolest!   I'm surprised that you haven't received any replies yet!!!
Great imagery, great word-play and message here...you humble my pen in comparison to the way you express life!

ms bee..thanks lady!  replies don't often come when political statements go against the mainstream..but then again that is the beauty of it..

Honeybee is starting to resemble other responding poets in her comments...which is endearing and darling...

and I hear you speak beyond your images...

especially now.

Sending hugs...waiting for more poems.

I think I'm going to have to comprise my own book, OMG...

Dark Stranger... I've read through this about eight or nine times... I can't say I understand half of it... what I can say is that I still like it. There's just something there that keeps nagging... It makes me feel like somebody is about ready to haul off and punch my lights out... not that I'm looking for such abuse. There just seems to be an underlying threat to this peice.  Don't know if that is what you intended, but it's what I've come away with.

All I can say is I like this a lot.  This cold has killed the creativity brain cells I had - so I'll just be matter of fact.

I like this.

Haaa... me gets it now. Though I'm a little behind on my current affairs, I understand a few more of the word refrences. Thanks for making the mud a little bit less chunky.

oatmeal makes me sick - and lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

... and i don't get it (honest enough to admit that little thang), but i still like it and i am still sick and am feeling a bit run-on and tired.

Googling the Ms. Badu event in Dallas did make it easier to follow your reasoning. The way you put things on paper and in poetic form is simply amazing, whatever the topic.

You are the Master!

methinks I must wait until my mind heals itself before I can understand all that you have scribed, but as I recover, let me say that I do love this line:
