Wake up in the morning. Smile at the rising sun. Feel its warmth pressed against my skin. Look around and wander about my night of pure sin. And... I cry a tear for those missed Those gone forever with their last breath I just wish I could have the last kiss Smell your hair Feel your breath Hold you close Your small hand in mine She doesn't understand my pain The loss of one so near I felt the love of a daughter Once She looked up to me Expected me to protect her from every pain God called her away by stealing her breath I beg him to bring her back safe I felt the love of another Briefly I felt it Once I had the love of a family A family of not blood Lost to violence Once I had the love of a family Tears in my eyes I beg her to understand my pain Tears in my eyes I crawl on my knees Only if she could hear me For my lips stay sealed While I watch through the window Hands busy at work The kitchen hot and loud Feel the sweat trickle down my neck My silent brooding wearing thin on my back Must stay strong Let her be, let her stay happy My baby girl gone forever. "Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it." |

I won't lie and say I understand, because I have known losses like that, nor anything so intensely painful. But thanks for sharing. Jaime Hey, nobody's human! |
