Bones is not good to Bones. If he was, he wouldn’t let people hurt him the way they do. It all comes from feelings of not having any value, learned at an early age. He had it pounded into him, by both words, and deeds. Bobby |

Hey Bobby: We are our own harshest critics. I agree with you: the lessons of 'worth' are often pounded OUT of us. Jeff |

Given human nature, Bobby, and the way some people don't care, it is hard to avoid being hurt, but being able to endure the hurt can build character, and provide one the skills to survive in in spite of how he is treated by others. I think that Bones has that quality, for he has overcome more than I would wish to bear. My hat is off to him, and I want to think that Bones, in his tolerance unto self-injury, is a notch or two above the crowd. Thanks for the poem -- Art |

Thanks Lindsay, Bones has been to see a number of shrinks, and he likes to think that he has helped all of them in some small way. Bobby |

Hello Bobby, this is a deep poem, and it enlarges the human nature, accepting to suffer seems so human and can be considered as a treachary to oneself....I ask myself if we have choice. ..Anyway thanks for the thoughtful and deep poem. regards yann |

Thanks Yann, No, we basically have no choice. We cannot do anything about how others think of us, or attempt to mistreat us. In the case of Bones, he earns his money by allowing himself to be mistreated. Bobby |

What we experience at an early age will forever sign us, no doubt. In the case of Bones, I think Bones succeeded in trusting his value later in life. Profound. Love, Margherita |

I`m trying to piece together the history of Bones as I came in in the third quarter. I don`t really think that Bones is bad to Bones because he allows others to hurt him. That my friend is the definition of a victim. I guess Bones will be bad to Bones when he deliberately sets about hurting people. |

Thanks Earl, What you say is true. Bones would never hurt anyone. He just doesn't do that kind of work. He doesn't believe in it. Bobby |
