I have walked through hell in total darkness
And among the dead I lost my soul
The demons seemed to be everlasting
Blood that once boiled was turning cold

The path I chose was one of desperation
Mental anguish was ruling my mind
My escape was from all reality
Losing all the ties that bind

Friends and family were only shadows
Of a life that once was mine
I cried helpless but no one heard me
Losing control and losing my mind

Constantly I sought all life pleasures
Even deserted all my best friends
Seeking to live only in the moment
On true love I didn't depend

It took forever to turn the corner
Fought my way back into the light
But still there's many walls and bridges
When you can't face the truth about your life
