Earth Angel

God made angels for heaven
He made them for his bidding to do
Special spirits to satisfy all his needs
And then Earth Angel he made you

He took a ball of clay and formed you
From two lives that he had entwined
Loving parents most certainly they were
So I asked God if she could be mine

God said," I put her on earth for a reason"
"And for a season she belongs to you
If you want this season to be eternal
It's not only by words, but deeds you must do"

So with all my mind and soul I hasten to try
Making her mine is the task I will strive
To deserve her love and worthy to be a part
Of Heavens perfect Earth Angel, never to be apart

Another very beautiful write, dear Paul! And for a moment I thought you were speaking of our very own "Earth Angel" here on Pip, who represents all the grace and beauty that her name suggests.

The rhyme and meter of this piece are melodious to the the ear. I hope that others discover the wonder of this poem.
