Waves of love

*

I can feel
overwhelming
waves of love
building in the ocean
of consciousness
within my center.

I can’t keep them
from erupting through
the valve of my heart
and splashing particles
of pink onto my cheeks.

My breath wants
to mingle with yours
to give rise to
an indomitable
storm of passion
brushing our
lips of desire.

Come closer now
hold me tight
while we ride
our magnetic waves.
Show me how
to balance on the crests
fearlessly and blissfully
as if we were child stars
in a fairy tale.

Swing me off
any limitations
into the realm of reality
which opens its gates
only to lovers
who are out
of their minds,
fully heart centered,
to recognize
the wonder
of an unencumbered
fusion of souls.

Oh my oh my, my dear! What has gotten into the air around here, or should I say water, as in waves of passion? Margy, you just made me blush, thank you for that. I now have a warm pinkish glow to go with the one in my heart after reading such words. I think you delved very deep for this one, it is one of my all time favorites of your's and let me tell you, these words, really become you.

Bless your sweet soul my dear, this was a real piece of your loving heart.

Loved it!

Thank you, dear Yann, for your loving comment and for truly entering the spirit of this poem.

Dear Dixie, thank you for stopping by and for your "warm" comment. Though this is not meant to be "hot" in that way, the merging of two souls of course may suggest total oneness on all levels and I do love to convey this kind of total oneness, I won't deny that, but I primarily "feel" and speak of the spiritual oneness of two souls.   Now, this is going to make me blush for the second time     ...

Love and joy.

I thought I was having a hot flash and then I realized I was reading your poetry, Margherita!  This is passion at its best - and written with style and grace.  Which you always show that you have.

Love you,
A

Thank you both from my heart, dear Ida and dear Alison, for your loving comments! Yes, my heart knows! ... and yes I would never "cross the lines" of decency, yet passion is passion!

Love and hugs.

Margherita, The first stanza is a perfect opening to this poem because that consciouness is the foundation for every possibility love holds...that desire to be conscious and vibrant and overwhelmingly alive.

How often it arrives with relationship to a kindred spirit!  Somehow, I suspect you have it a all, wholly in your own heart, and it reflects back, a gift gaining momentum.  There is joy in those passionate words, and the essence overflows vibrantly!

`Splashing particles of pink onto my cheeks` - Oh, how I wish I had written that line!  Excellent use of collocations.

Oh, this is so replete with unbridled passion, and so artfully expressed; I am almost without words---beauty enfolded in beauty. This is magnificence in verse well wrought! Thanks for a great poem, dear Margherita --

This is really wonderful poetic reasoning. The mind shift of a different approach done with such elegance and purity.

You're still writing wonderful mind scenes my dear!
