Skin and Bone I don't know, I certainly ain't all that smart but it seams to me there must be more to us all than skin and bone. More to a man than what he owns. Riches are just things that others say have worth, things they would trade or trade for. What does a title say about a man's heart. What do clothes or the quality of them provide really but warmth for what really matters. Homeless and holes in my shoes, My lord still will always have a place for me. Zeitgeist |

This poem says it all. The rich man is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least. If God's love is enough for you, then you are rich indeed |

You've hit upon some truths here. It's not what a person has on hand, but what he holds in his heart. Neither Christ, nor the Dali Lama sits on the bleachers judging. Rather they got down in mess to help people. Happiness can't be achieved with money or status, but rather through lasting things. One can only receive love, care, and compassion, by giving these same things. Lovely, poem! |
