That’s All I watch the sun come up in morning Then, see it bow down to moonlight I don't know which is lonelier Bright of day or dark of night? I watch the rippling of the surface Of waters flowing in the stream As it swiftly passes by me Like those dreams I used to dream. I watch the clouds up in the sky Paint their figures, rearranging While my days here in this world Just come and go, never changing. I watch the flowers in the springtime Blossoming, in lovely hues But the only colors in my life Come in different shades of blues. I watch the change of seasons Spring, summer, and the fall And then, one of these winters It will be the end, that's all. 2-25-90 Del "Abe" Jones Mankind's greatest accomplishment is not the revolution of technology, it is the evolution of creativity. copyright 1984 |
