Voyage There is a mellow hum of sweet content That binds my heart onto my soul; it gives A clearer view of life in days well spent, Where She, the fairest creature, unbound lives - She keeps the rudder aimed to warmest clime; With soft, yet steady hand true-guides the craft Of my meandering will, as the witness Time Records once more the error of my draft – And thus to rightful course reclaimed, I owe My love the bounties of this voyage told - For only She can on my heart bestow The passion and the warmth and love’s true gold: Yet something within brings a silent tear, As with each day the shore draws nearer, near.
