Listening to every heart

Time, Lords….on a second’s urge…[no, it couldn’t wait]

One would trust
that our tick, tick, tick
would remain of itself,
quick and slick, but wait
they say,
for just one second…

should we hold our breath?
or make a wish?
seize someone and seal a kiss?
or trust on faith of mustard seeds…
or a hold upon my heart?

For in one thousand years,
[or…eight million, seven hundred
sixty thousand hours….]
or about that, and so, they say,
an hour would so slowly grow
in the whim and roam
of earth’s rotation, simply by
a second’s urge

and they think it important,
to all nations…to hold from whim,
our need to splurge
into the new year…into the new…
into all
like a teacup’s brew…

[Help me, Alice, find the White Rabbit…
someone’s late, for tea]

~*~

One would think
that on a whimsy’s must
would not lead one on
to such a trust
as to adhere to another
than the sound of                    wind…
and yet, they make us think,
for a moment, and yet again…

on a second’s urge…

~*~

so in this encapsulated
tried and tied, trite but true
moment, I
will take an instant captured,
a second’s urge
to sigh…
and hold all that is right
on a second’s splurge,
before I hide my cry…

even before I can wish
on a second’s just held urge…
Happy New Year
to all of Passions,
and I squeak in,
just before the forthcoming
surge….

~*~

I do want to thank all of you
for seeing so many through 2010...
and for giving such hope to
all for the new of 2011.

Always...

Sunshine

Exiting the old year in style and form as we creep slowly toward the new kid on the block.

Wonder how many innocent people will be blown to bits by bombs strapped to idiots in the coming year? Not trying to be negative, but . . .

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

This is so wonderful, so full of hope and love and friendship, and a bit of whimsy that makes for perfect poetry.

May the New Year bless you and yours.

Sissie...Now or then or some time to be, a whimsy must do what a whimsy does, just because.
