Hi, my name is Joe. Spend my life on the street. Sleeping in the snow, Looking for stuff to eat. "Come here little boy, together we can play games. Aw, don't you be coy And run, my name is Ray." Men like him I watch, Cause they hide in the dark, For to grab our crotch, I don't go in the park. Pa left us alone, Ma don't care anymore She is always gone People came, they was sore. Then they put us all, In a place with bars; and Sue sat down and bawled, I ran, just like I planned. I'm on the street now, We waifs have found love; for, We even share chow, So what if we steal cars? Hi, my name is Joe. Spend my life on the street. Sleeping in the snow Looking for stuff to eat. |

For the misfortunate this is a terrible time of the year. You created a vivid picture of their misery. |

My brother was a great fan of Oliver Twist, and when he came to PiP, gave himself the pseudonym of Fagin. And...it was appropriate, for he took into his homes orphans and others.... as we had done as a family long before. We always took in those who needed a home, human, or otherwise. We gained many a faithful being of God's grace. But we never had to deal with the factuals from your poem. Merry Christmas, Jerry. |

Earl, this is reality. Raw and ugly, but reality. Thank you. <><><><> I appreciate your kind words, Mike, very much. <><><><> Thank you Lori, you are sweet. <><><><> I hear you Sunshine. Like I said to Earl, this is the ugly side of life. I suppose it isn't all that appropriate for the Christmas season. |

Jerry...do not disregard the moment for the posting. We do what we do...it all just brought back that moment for me, Sir. Thank you...don't stop! |

A great check into the reality of this sad situation. Makes you wonder how some things get so out of hand in this crazy world. Many many people not willing to accept life's responsibilities are at the root cause. However, I have no right to point my finger and judge. Great work as usual Jerry and thanks for the reminder. Sure you can judge, Eric. We do it every day. When we see something wrong we are judging it. If we see something right we are judging it. The judgment comes from our own set of morals or lack of. Thanks, I always am grateful for your comments. |

A sad situation you've penned, Jerry, and one could perhaps think the timing is off but actually not because you've given me the gift of gratitude. I'm so grateful that my name isn't Joe. Helen |
