This is meant for some haunting electric blues guitar heavy on the reverb not too much distortion or sustain....A song of regrets, we all have them.... Cryin In My Mind lookin back outside the pain hopin for my soul to gain cursin all my worst regrets wishin I could just forget on a joy ride for number one why did I leave her, why did I run once again locked in time out of the blues.....I hear her cryin in the back roads of my mind. chorus singin songs, feelin the cost on the street corner of the lost on a toll road beneath the heat she's back there in front of me I can't escape these blues I hide when I hear her cryin in the back roads of my mind. when the night falls like purple ice I hear a voice out of the sky and as I pray for peace to grow the same old words find me alone where can I find a place to hide how will I reach it, or will I die once again locked in time out of the blues.....I hear her cryin in the back roads of my mind. chorus rep. when the lonely day appears and streetlight beams disappear I slide my guitar to my side and hike the black top baked inside my heart's prisoner doin double time where am I goin what will I find once again locked in time out of the blues........I hear her cryin in the back roads of my mind Obviously a blues song! Celtrue@E3B1G92001 Roach & Morris This band's won two grammys for instrumentals. You don't know how that makes me feel as the lead singer! |

Wow! Eric, I grew up with this kind of music. I am always in awe of musicians. They are magical in the way they create and so many poets have that inner melody coursing through them, in rivers of sound and the paces of their minds. This morning is a day for rainy measures, methinks. I enjoyed this bluesy piece...can almost hear that guitar! |

Okay. You wrote my life. "why did I leave her, why did I run" That question, my friend, has plagued me for damn near fifty years. I will go to my grave with it on my mind. |

Hi Klassy Good to hear you're no stranger to this music. Been a fan all my life too. Yeah, the music flows from within to the outside. It's just there. I really appreciate your comments I can tell you can hear and that's always good! Eric |

Yaaa, I would have spun that disc during my days in radio. Got some nice hooks and quality story. I could really hear that chorus. "she's back there in front of me I can't escape these blues I hide when I hear her cryin in the back roads of my mind." Solid lines. Thanks for sharing. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

I wish I'd had a disc or two for you to spin during your radio days. That would mean I had a cut or two. Many thanks for the positive input Andrew, I appreciate it. Eric |
