firefly cicadas, perhaps as chile peppers
if bitten too eagerly,  or slowly enough
like the strum of drums on evenings
when the mind begs fingers to go numb

or the more vile ending of violining
when gypsies are scolded with ignore
by the dead men under their green carpets
that can only clutch square sided wheels

french bread for those bred more english
speaking spanish like protesting catholics
changing their latin into louvered views
from voyeurs verandaing window confessionals

the golf gods club their gulfs from chairs
and recite the pledge of allegro allegiance
while worshiping green bosom minor misery
as mistresses of stone, mistrusting their stones

that were rushed to bruise mount rushmore's gaze

__________

daark  (exercise in reviewing of investment strategies during golf and other religious distractions that occur on alternating sunday afternoons)

Intersting, D... I must confess I'm glad for your slight explanation at the bottom of your post, as I'd be lost without it... I must be slightly thick? Lol

Your way with words is always compelling.

Best~

I'm thick also, but you have a definite way with words. Enjoyed.

Richness of that game and the richness of your words go well together. Distractions are a strict no! in golf. Fine writing, Dark.
