Broken Glass

As fragments of broken glass
tossed onto the floor of time
are life’s experiences,
each one a yet to be lived moment,
perhaps on man's earth
during one life’s journey
or beyond, in some far-away galaxy,
on some yet to be discovered world;
all within the life journey
of the universal child...

In experience these colorful pieces
permanently fuse together,
each no longer possessing
either beginning or end;
each a story of awareness
worked through failure and success
to life's end, to infinity:
now a beautiful mosaic,
a masterpiece of stained glass
enhancing one’s book of life.

it would be rather hard to improve upon Margherita's 'comment/reply' ...

I will simply add that the line containing:

"...the life journey
of the universal child..."

... is a very important one (and, for some of us at least, a poem in/unto itself)!
