Rivers attach us the heart
As a blood in the virgin origins,
As the vengeance of an explorer,

Manaus shines because she is alone
As a woman with the wounded eyes
The red Moon laughs at its dreams,

We cross impertinent markets
Generous fruits look at the sky
The glances are precise as numbers

The port finally forgives our glance,
The Amazon of a madness went out,
The Rio Negro chuckles cargoes of sugar canes,of our ignorance.
