You left me as a stranger A person on the other side of this glass My heart beats to the sight of you Hey can you see me? How can i move along? You were a girl i could love The years we spent together have been left behind I wish i could stand with pride Whats the point if you don't come around anymore I thought it would be us two forever That promise was nothing but a prop to get me up on the hill You knew we would fall I wish we could mend ourselves back together You just want to run around out of sight How can i make you smile with such a heavy frown? This building we have built together is made of straw Something that cant stand the harsh winds that sweep through your hair I want to go on the road with you How can we go without giving it our all? Now i'm that stranger you wont call Just give me a reason to find a lost highway So i can search for my lost cause Let me cross the Vally so i can get to your car Looking through the window staring at my lost love like a dog in the rain Will she ever see my pain? |

Ouch! Been there, done that. As I'm sure many have. But you write it well. I particularly likes these two lines... "Just give me a reason to find a lost highway So i can search for my lost cause" Good luck in your search. Peace. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
