As if in layers Of orange light Dusk settles On the meadow Flights of geese And sparrows Pass under a silver Crescent moon Stars will sparkle Like distant candles Set in windows to urge Lost lovers home Last crickets Are chirping As the late autumn air Frosts and turns Irretrievably cold Who is that figure Gliding out Of old shadows To haunt my slumber As if I didn’t know . |

Very interesting bit of composing, Huan Yi. I was reading the wonderful verses telling of a seasonal change and was thoroughly impressed and was there with you. Then came the last verse. I'll lose sleep tonight trying to figure out whose figure it was gliding out of old shadows and causing you to lose sleep. Loved it! . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |
