All Grown Up

My tolerance is within range
To endure sudden jolts of change
That come at me from cloudy skies
as betrayal and bad goodbyes.

Now I recall these quiet days,
When I was young in many ways,
I recall grandfather in his chair
Constant fussing about his hair

He always had his chin up high
As he examined the blue sky
Out of the window of his house
while we listened to him grouse

He was closer to super man
and believe as much as I can
That I will be as brave and strong
but then again, sometimes I'm wrong

-Juju

Beautiful tribute and respect in this write Juju

In the eyes of youth some things become memories for life and the wonderment of it all is always a joy but mystery of sorts.

Really like this.....I think you must be strong enough.

Fine writing, I thought my grandfather to be superman too; fine memories of him visited me today, thanks to you.

Juju, you have also grown in your writing.

I have many wonderful thoughts of my Grandfather, also ( although he was very old even then)

We all have our pleasant memories, well, at least most of us. Nice that you can write your out the way you do.

It's always good to have a role model, whether you live up to him (her) or not. An original topic well worth approaching in poetry. Bravo!
