In burnished gold of Autumn's shroud,

I feel soft burn of Angels' eyes like fire in the heart.

There is no mourning for these little deaths

in leaves at end of yearning's life stretched

from budded apple greens of Spring's fresh start,

to broadleaves crisply floating proud

through red and amber rainbows in realized desire.

"red and amber rainbows " ~~ never thought of it that way, but will every time I drive down the highways in the fall. It is a very beautiful sight here.
