Bizarre Expedition

Wintry evening welcomes stranger shadows,
They stretch pull each other, swaying gentle heads,
Some glitter like the finest pearl from ocean deep,
The others fade away, to the wandering oblivion,

On elevating green sour droplets finds its home,
Iniquitous twig dwarfs rejoice on camp leftovers,
While unnoticing crawling obnoxious rattler hisses,
Weaving maiden gobbles her unwise brave knight,

Ultrasonic undetectable sounds of the upside down,
Munching purple globes, spilling the crimson juice,
Opportunist the ever cautious hoot of the deadly caws,
Perfect supper dine, furry warm coats with long tails,

Maladroit footsteps, mind in trance, antenna freak,
Wasting those warm summer lyrics on bitter night,
A lonely vintage beauty strikes a lingering tiny pose,
Click, click, bizarre flickering lights hit the wide roads.

Are you related to Lewis Carroll?

Wow! This is very intriguing and highly imaginative......Gotta love the minute world and all the surroundings

Really enjoyed this.

I agree with Eric... loving this woozy yet beautiful trip through your pen, Prasad...!
like the startling juxtapositions you`ve placed here and there... I could never decide whether you were writing of summer or winter, or both, and, of course, their metaphorical layerings... in the end it does not matter if I`m slightly wrong or not, because the poem on it`s own is a delight of image and language.  Great stuff!
Best~

Here and there throughout this fasinating poem, Prasad, I got a sense of the "Beats" of Greenwich Village fame in the late 1950's. Loved the rich portrayal of the denizens of your poem. Eric and his Lewis Carroll is also apropos.

Excellent writing, Prasad. You use the language like a fine tool to carve out a thing of beauty, although I must say I consider rattler hisses a little more than obnoxious!!

Write on!

Thank you Sir, for taking time to comment and reading. Really kind words from a wonderful talented poet as you. Haa, rattler's are aggressive only when provoked, which humans do to most animals, at times knowingly, at times unknowingly. Appreciate it.

I've lived where the ocean roars
I've resided by the plains
I know that deep within my core
I'll see winter once again.

Aha...you're moving my muse...that's a good sign of a good poem. At least, for me.
