Oh, how small these wings Upon such broad expanse of air! I’m looking down upon sun-silvered clouds At earth, the once dwelling place of cave men Who looked upward in ignorance and awe, Not knowing I would be here, remembering them In the techno-noise of thundering jets, Still a distance away from seemingly unreachable stars! Oh, let this thing of flight be my earthly song! |
