Oh, how small these wings
Upon such broad expanse of air!
I’m looking down upon sun-silvered clouds
At earth, the once dwelling place of cave men
Who looked upward in ignorance and awe,
Not knowing I would be here, remembering them
In the techno-noise of thundering jets,
Still a distance away from seemingly unreachable stars!

Oh, let this thing of flight be my earthly song!

Great work. Throughout the ages the sky has remained constant. Looking down. Watching.
