Sweet Love, There are days I wait for one word, it is as if, the walls of the earth have crumbled, can life, death, be measured equal? I think not! These whispering pines speak your name, as I walk down trodden paths of tall grass, a dark loneliness begins to set in. I am jealous of the sun, the moon, all these can see you, touch your warm face, yet I cannot, Every moment you have a breath, I breathe too, only my breath quivers in shallow depths, accompanied by warm flowing tears. Why must life be so cruel? to feed you love upon a silver platter with trimmings, then remove it, asking for a diet, or death. Starvation eats up my soul, every minute, your laughter I do not hear, your smile, I cannot see, malnutrition will be the death of me, There is more to life than all the eye can behold, I have found real beauty, felt it, held it in my heart, I have floated high above every tree, so high of an elavation, rare it is, it is the bird of paradise, of happiness, one that is extinct. The world is dieing , with all the romantic poets of old, I stand here in this moment of pure beauty, in silence, waiting, for the sky to split, waiting... to feast again, from your lovely, sweet, poet heart. Love deprivation is a very intense suffering indeed and you gave voice to this painful state very intensely, dear ARH. Beautiful in its sadness. Love, Margherita |

Why must life be so cruel? [one of the (unanswerable?) 'essential questions' indeed!] "... with all the romantic poets of old, I stand here in this moment of pure beauty, in silence, waiting... to feast again, from your lovely, sweet, poet heart." fine ending to this walk on the 'dark-side' of Romance ... |
