Gone


Everyone smile

It's picture time

Now let's say

A peculiar rhyme

I take your picture

I can see in you face

You would rather

Be in a different place

Let's do this again

Until you get it right

Please don't continue

To put up a fight

Smile pretty

Here it comes

Clench your fists

With your thumbs

Now it shows

Now I can see

You have become

What I want you to be

Is that wrong

Should I let you alone

Maybe I could capture

You in a clone

I never quite had you

And I never quite will

Go back to sleep

And be quite still
