When was it, when you stopped loving? Were you warily set free? You say goodbye no more to be in love, and longer lived out of love than in love? In caring situations yet absent in love? Love… so I thought I knew yet desperately not. With my life, I am free but empty without you. Me, as warily free as you, and so far from true… Because, I dream of seeing you, and in still meditation each day I pray for you. Love is appointed but once in our life, and for me that time is you. More time has past than I wish to even imagine, and yet I am living with you in my heart, still. More times, than I can count I have said your name aloud, and as I speak your name I can see your precious smile. More seasons have passed away, forever. For one season I ask, just one, the one with you, forever… Ever free, to be true… Free To Be True… ~ |

a sort of complicated piece...speaking to some degree to beliefs, to loss, to holding on, and to passing time.. well woven... and touching |

I like this, and while I don't always know exactly why I like it, but even so. |

Thanks for the responses. I do appreciate the input. It’s a sort of slant on a type of Acrostic Poetry. I try to use each first word of each line to write a verse. Makes a slow day… even slower. Anyway, thanks JL |

Most touching write, JL. "The truth shall set you free" and I guess all it takes is for ourselves to know and express that truth which you have done so well here. My best to you. Helen |
