When the world ends
there is happiness
joy
love
sorrow all mixed to one
for everyone looks the other way.

When the world ends
people will be working
sleeping
relaxing
and doing nothing at all
for they all look the other way.

When the world ends
people will be sad
happy
grateful
but most of all oblivious
for they all look the other way.

Except for a few
trying to educate the rest
not being oblivious to this
they feel happiness and sadness
for they did not look the other way.

Elric this is a good first post. Your poem speaks to me directly. I do not look the other way, and often try in vain to make the world less oblivious to itself.
