I tire of this life more easily each day; waking to my world's stark reality, the way of simple human ciphers, petty needs of children who age but never grow, there is a weight in knowing without the drain of sharing thought. I find myself in quiet sometimes trying to convince myself love meant standing for the beating, then I remember awareness and futility, stark reality like polished floors in an arcade where every mirror has been poisoned; still there are more dreams within the universe than are there grains of sand on all the beaches of this world; this little world so rife with life in all its desperations, thirsty yearning souls abandoned on each path unable to recall reasons for existence, motivations that trap us each in agreeing to be born. I know who I am and what I've been about. I have outlived doubts and turmoil that plague the ensouled young, and where, pray tell, where are my compatriots? Tattered fragments of one scattered common soul, there were so few of us this time and now fewer left alive, others gone waiting on the soft Akhashic plane, sharing anecdotes and laughter with time to reconsider lessons learned plans and goals and resting to regroup, I call to them and bid them wait. ©2010 by icebox |

Well my friend, I believe that if we had a choice to be born or not, some of us would choose to remain non-existent And what a tragedy that would be. See, often greatness comes from having to be here without knowing why. And some of us are content to just help others along the way, until and if a reason for being comes to light. |

Certainly a most reflective write, Charly. I hope I'm not manipulated into being born again but perhaps we will have no choice in the matter - what a tragedy that would be. Wonderful write! Helen |

A chord striker my friend...reflections of age sometimes grow pretty heavy as we get more and more near the other end... j. |

Possibly one of the most poignant writes I've seen. |
