To Oz there came the silence of days
That left the sifting of ashes to the wind
As immobile I stood to watch for her along paths
Once paved with yellow stone where
Spring brought veins of red willow to blush
While the scrim beneath fed thrush who in her way
Kicked aside the rubble left from fall to find sustenance
And I
        Watched rain
Outline the form of her
beneath the cling of cotton
that close weave of threads twist sighed upon the loom
from nimble fingered wordings that tied off knots
When the warp would rise
Then fall to lay upon the shuttle’s path
A captured bit of fluff no more
But the fabric of her shoulders
or the brocade upon her throat
Adorned with fickled rubies

"there's no place like home"
she'd said and wanted there for evermore
to know

“It has such good hand”
Possessed
a quality of owned
when patterns lay upon the table
In renderings as come
with the soft syllabic sigh of S
And guide the shears along lines
drawn cardinal to a bias
Then sewn

“Write me” She had said
in that once upon a time
When laughter clothed the two of us with silk and skin
While the dollar watch heart within my breast
Tock clicked
to believe the wizard might indeed
Tailor an ending bereft of wind or storm
And let me feel more
Than this silence of nights that have come
To dreams
                 Of Tin

it cries

Kat.. thank you for the nice words..
No secret, there are a number of Oz scribbles I've done scattered about the archives and in other worlds... a favorite setting for the tales and whimsey of life I think...

I've not been here in far too long but m'friend to read your words again is a true blessing and delight to these eyes, and to find one of your writes on Oz...

It don't get any better than that.  As always sir, a true pleasure...
