Don't forgive, what you can't forget. Vengeance is perilous, but passivity does beget. The theft of dignity, which never forgot. Will provide courage, so surmount alot. For although, this eve' you rest your wounded hand. Tomorrow may require you make a stand . . . |

What a coincidence that I should read and comment on Katahdin`s `The Key` before I began reading your poem. While I would prefer that the world would be one in which revenge is renounced it probably will never happen. But who am I to pass judgement when I post a poem such as `MY Door` where I am guilty of apathy and neglect. I guess what I am trying to say is that in poetry we can express positive and negative aspects of the human condition. A coin has two sides. |

"It takes time for a wounded hand..." A nice, concise write. Somewhat medieval---but somewhat medieval still applies a lot in some situations. I would humbly advise to remember that "Vengeance is Mine sayeth the Lord." So, if you are going to mess somebody up please to make sure of the ultimate good it may or may not do before whaling away. |
