sometimes when I am blessing a glance around you
as you swallow a sip of morning like warmth
that makes you pay second hand attention
and smile like it was something almost accidental

like the soft sided shoulders of dirt roads
when one becomes suddenly aware of how tires feel
slipping into something that holds like hands
but doesn't linger long enough for formal greetings

you seem to button on a blush then, slowly down
letting it cover the color of your skin differently
not too snug of a fit..just casually perfect
and then you find it caught on something curvy

so you have to wear it for just a minute longer
as you realize I have you in my mind that way
indelible, as if I would ever want to erase the view
just before you dissolve into exiting the doorway

and entering the rest of another of my daydreams
