I remember some long days travelling To see a lady who never did show, But, alas, I am no travelling king, And the aftermath left me feeling low. The scenes I recall now are strangely bright, Like beltway gridlock, tunnel entrance snow, A truck I just missed in the dead of night, And big ferry parking lots' amber glow. That was years ago now, but I recall A hope that was there---and don't that beat all. |

Thanks all for your kind words. I guess sometimes the journey really is the destination. |
