After the Storms Roots of forgiveness Anchored my soul Quest for awareness Of what couldn't be seen Swayed within my thoughts Of different choices That I would make Knowing that the consequences Would come as the lessons To refine my selfish heart and humble my pride So when I felt low Was when I was teachable And the sun seemed to rise Just a little bit higher The morning after... ...the storms had passed |

An excellent write. I read it as a treatise on rage and redemptive aftermath, therefore, a much-appreciated identification with the sublime. Plus, I like the gentle way this conclusion is reached by the author. One for the compendium! |
