My two favorite men don’t talk a lot, don’t use flowery phrases. They don’t say “I love you” much or give you lots of compliments. That’s just not their way. They work from dawn until dusk, rarely stopping to rest. Even when they are not at work, they are sometimes fixing things. That’s just their way. They don’t say “I love you” in words, they say it in deeds. They will work until they drop to take care of their families. They will build you whatever you ask for. Their love is expressed in actions. How many times have we heard “actions speak louder than words”? But we still expect to hear the words. We must all learn to hear the unspoken words that come from Men who don’t talk much This is in honor of my husband on our 40th anniversary and my son-in-law who is expecting a son any day now. |

An appreciated sentiment, very well-expressed. Although, if my grandpa is any indication, one might be surprised at how witty a poem a taciturn engineer, technician, and craftsman can turn out when the muse gets that rare run of luck. ![]() |

It sounds to me Eldest that you are a very lucky lady and I'm very pleased for you. I know that married life can always be better but it also be a heck of a lot worse. Count your blessings my dear and meet each day with a big smile. Take care. Lindsay |
