When I
was a
wee child

I would
often go
into the woods

and weep

so much
of what I saw,
beyond those trees,
made no sense

and the
only answer
given was

"That's just the way it is"

Now...

I am an adult

and you people
make me weep

That's just the way it is

Absolutely right so I suppose the only answer is to detach from those who make us weep.

I think Helen's got it in a nutshell. Accept what you can and ditch the rest...

I feel a bit awkward saying, "I enjoyed your rant", but you expressed how I sometimes feel, too.

I enjoyed the rant too. Makes me feel better to know there are others who feel as I do.
