War and Despair Evil and coercion and lies and pain Echos of violence ring once again Accursed alike from war and terror unreformed Our media keeps us well-informed A worn out world suffuse in blood and hate Its nemesis Death when called will not wait When dispatched it distinguishes friend nor foe It visits with mass destruction and goes I see in the paper we`re fighting with an enemy Who dreams of virgins and death and paradise I see in the paper generals are resigning While civilians and soldiers continue dying Alas once more I reach out for another cup Because Death could care less about who it gobbles up I`m unable to turn the media off So I gulp down wine like a pig at a trough |

Simple solution: don't watch TV. I can only take so much of the media's distorted view of the world before I turn them off. Not isolationism, but just setting a limit. |

Earl - The most potent weapon in the hands of an oppressor has to be the mind of the oppressed. Wars have been waged and battles have been fought to control the mind of Man. And the first casualty of such conflict is always Truth as the media mouthpieces spread its mutation via TV. Beware of the 6 sided box. A piece for the times we live in. I enjoyed. Namyh |
