He wants a passionate Amazon,
In his arms, in her arms held gentle and tight.
The beauties of Nature,
The wonder of Being,
The Sacred Earth, Sun, and sky;
The rhythms of blooming and wilting,
The magical cycles of Darkness and Light
The rolling cycle of seasons and tides;
The secrets, the miracles
and mystery that is all Life.
Making love, all with all;
He longs for a passionate Amazon,
So tender, so gentle, so tight.
Well, maybe not tonight, but … …
He asks the Universe…
He has Faith a compassionate, life-giving Nature will hear him,
He knows a compassionate soul will respond.

Interesting poem in that it could be interpreted two ways - i.e. the Amazon as in a jungle and a Amazon as in a woman. I think that you would probably stress the former of course.

A very good poem imho. Made me think some. Should not be discarded for the published volume!

Though, of course, what wounded man has not asked the Universe and beyond for at least one passionate-but-tender female D'Artagnan?
