“Where have you been my whole life long?” He whispered in her ear – “I’ve waited for you”, she soft replied, As she snuggled near. They walked along a river’s edge, Where water lilies bloom - And dreamed of worlds beyond the stars, Beyond all strife and gloom. Many sunny days have passed, Many stormy nights; Still they lift their eyes above, To the starry heights. There to the river’s edge they come To rest side by side; Above a dome of clear night sky, And moon their only guide. Two forms of earthly dust are born, To dust will both return - But how sweet the time from dawn to dusk, When hearts with fire burn. t |

Very, very beautiful! It does my heart good to know romance is out there doing just fine! I read this several times, each enjoying the flowing rhythm and the imagery. ~~~~~~~~~~`misce' |
