(please note i have nothing agenst rhyme schemes, i just got into an arguement with a teacher who hated them, and thus....) My Poem This is a poem, I swear There are no fancy words, no AP devices, No sing-songy rhyme schemes to hide my Incompetence But I say it's a poem And it is It is because my heart is here My feelings and thoughts, all free to be read Tucked inside a plain-looking book That's almost like a diary Here, you'll find no Shakespeare No Piercy or Poe This poem is mine I wrote it myself I hope you enjoy. Though my poem may be plain, It sure does say alot. |

An original, modern approach to "ars poetica." There's is little said and much implied. A very good poem. |

Thank you for the kind replies! I was debating whether I liked this poem or not... usually my poems are pretty much drenched in AP devices just from habit so it was actually hard to avoid them here ^_^ |
