The Magic Dragon It wore a toad's face, an elephant's trunk and catfish whiskers, sniffing everything in sight, buzzing in bottle-fly-pestering circles emitting a hideous monotonous growl. The dead came to life, wakened by the cacophony. Dust danced in twister spirals and the toils of work glimmered in streaming sunlight. He shut off the switch to the portable car vac and tucked the monster back into its vinyl mobile cave satisfied that the Magic Dragon had transformed his Buick once again to the girl he used to know. |

Clever writing...the first part created the imagery of an adventure and the second brought home the ordinary act of vacuuming your car with a sense of great accomplishment..fun read.ww |

How lovely that the ordinary everyday can result in great poetry. I got so caught up in the first verse that the "twist" in the second came as a surprise. Well done. Helen |

Your poetry never fails to take the ordinary and turn it into magic. |
